Hearing Aid Accessories
Hearing aids are more powerful and feature-rich than ever. There are also a number of accessories that you can use alongside your hearing aids that allow you to hear even better depending on the listening environment you’re in.
Here are some of the more popular hearing aid accessories:
TV Streaming: If you like to watch TV at home, you may really enjoy a TV streamer, which plugs directly into your TV and sends a signal to your hearing aids directly.
Remote Microphone: In certain situations, especially those with lots of background noise, a remote microphone used by the person you most want to hear can be an excellent way to cut out all the clutter and hear the conversation clearly. The remote mic is worn by your spouse, partner, or friend, and their voice is transmitted wirelessly to your hearing aids, free of unwanted background noise or interference.
Hearing Loop: Induction loop system that transmits sound wirelessly to hearing aids equipped with a telecoil.
Smartphone Connectivity- Many hearing aids will now wirelessly connect to iPhone®, iPad®, and Android™ devices through Bluetooth. This allows users to hear phone calls and stream music or other content from their phone directly into their hearing aids.
